Mozingo Lake Park

Mozingo Lake Park offers a variety of recreational opportunities for the outdoor enthusiasts. What began, in 1994, as a watershed reservoir for the citizens of Maryville, has since grown into a recreation destination. Owned by the City of Maryville, Mozingo’s amenities continue to grow and develop.

Mozingo Lake Park and Golf Course is located 4 miles east of Maryville on Hwy. 136 then 1 mile north on Liberty Road.

Boating

Boating Passes are available through Maryville Public Safety Department, 222 N Vine (660-562-3209) or at Mozingo’s Information Center located within the Park.  Boating fees for 2004 are:  $4.00 per day or $30.00 for a season pass.

Mozingo places the following length restrictions on water craft;
Boats 24 ft. - Pontoon 28 ft.

Docks

Boat Docks - 5 (Handicapped Assessable)
Boat Ramps - 3
Fishing Docks - 1 (Handicapped Assessable)
Fish Cleaning Station - 1

Camping

Mozingo Park offers 50 spacious hard surfaced RV pads, overlooking Mozingo Lake.  Each site has 50 amp electricity and water. A modern bathhouse with laundry facilities are conveniently located at the campground. Trailer dump stations are located near the bathhouse. RV camping fees are $12.00 per day.

Primitive Tent Camping with bathhouse are available for $5.00 per day.

Reservations for camping facilities are not accepted.  The Park operates on a first come first serve basis.  For updated information on the number of sites available contact Maryville City Hall at 660-562-8001.

Golf

Mozingo Lake Golf Course offers golf enthusiasts a challenging 18 hole course. Situated along the shore of Mozingo Lake this golf course has been recognized as the “best course to play in the state of Missouri for under $50.00”, by Golf Digest and USA Today.

Hunting

Hunting Permits are available for $2.00 from Maryville Public Safety Department, 222 N Vine (660-562-3209).

Hunting is allowed north of 230th Street from November 15th through January 15th.  Shotguns only for the taking of ducks, geese and rabbits. Archery only for deer and turkey.

Other Amenities

Mozingo Lake offers Horse Trails, Walking Trails, Fishing, Youth Camp with cabins and Snack Bar.

Two large and two medium sized pavilions are available by reservation. Contact Maryville City Hall (660-562-8001) for additional information.

Fifteen single-family covered shelters, with picnic table and grill, are located throughout the park on a first come basis.
